18 weeks

Oh hello there baby bump.  You seem to have popped out a little bit sooner this time around!

Life at the Shore!

We were lucky enough to sneak away to New Jersey for a long weekend to visit our Bama friends, the Campbell's.  We had a great time catching up with our old pals and taking in all the sights of the Northeast.

We spent Friday at the beach, where Harrison leaped into the ocean head first!

After VERY short encouraged breaks, Harrison was begging Brian to take him back out.

Four buddies reunited in the sand!

After our beach day, we came home for naps and then hopped in the hot tub for a little swim.

The night was followed up with a delicious dinner and ice cream!

The boys loved playing Mrs Sue, who kept the kids entertained with puzzles and books while the mommas and daddies relaxed

Saturday the weather wasn't as great, but we still had a great time watching movies and hanging out. Saturday evening, we headed to Point Pleasant, where the good old Jersey Shore crew hangs out.  Unfortunately, we had no sightings of anyone famous.

Checking out the ocean

The kids loved the boardwalk and all the fun that came with it!

Brooks loved his ice cream

Family picture...Failure.

Flintstones!

The boys watched their first ever episode of Flinstones Saturday and loved it! I was just happy to see a cartoon that I grew up with still on TV. See I am not that old AT ALL.  :)

Our Big Surprise!

My momma came in town for a long weekend and we usually try to sneak away for a day to have lunch and shop, etc... I had my 16 week appointment already scheduled for Friday, so I called the OB office to ask if we could have an "elective" ultrasound to find out the baby's gender a few weeks early. They were more than happy to oblige so Mom and I skipped off to the US.  We had the technician put the baby's gender photos in an envelope and had her call in a cupcake order to our grocery store.  Brian was working that day and I didn't want to find out the news without him!

Sweet baby at 16 weeks, measuring 5 ounces, sucking hands

Our cupcakes filled with pink or blue icing... only a bite away from finding out!

Make that about 3 bites away from finding out.... IT'S A GIRL!!

And here's the proof shot!  We are over the moon excited about having a sweet baby girl to complete our family (and yes, we ARE done!)

Vacay!

We snuck away for a few days to relax down by the coast. We stayed near Daytona in a peaceful little area called Palm Coast. The boys loved the ocean and Momma and Daddy loved the naps that followed!
Building castles

Poor boys both had bad boo-boos on their legs from the sand, hence the rolled up swim trunks

Bestest of friends

This little trooper stayed awake the entire 5 hour trip home, watching Pinocchio and Dolphin Tale

Little Mountain Man

Harrison is getting a teensy bit braver and wanted to climb this rock wall at the park. It's not an easy feat when you're three and wearing flip flops!

Corn Anyone?

Guess who loves corn on the cob?!

Office ReDo

Ah! I'm loving the finished product of our home office.  The tan molding, governors paneling, painted ceiling and window trim was a bit extreme.  So we had a little overhaul this week.
The new furniture should arrive in the next few weeks.... and we can then cross this room of our To Do list!

Itty Bitty Surgeons

Harrison is so curious about everything recently.  He wants to know when he's going to be 16 (so he can drive) when he's going to be a dad, when he's going to be an adult, etc...
The other day, he was going on and on about how when he grows up, he's going to be a doctor and do surgery "just like my Dad!" He said he would do surgery at the same hospital as Daddy,  and that Daddy would have to share his hammer with him.

The best part was when he said "But I am going to drive a GMC truck when I'm a doctor.  Don't worry Brooks, I am going to have a carseat for you in there."

Playing dress up with Daddy!

Pudding Pops!

Mmm! Pudding pops are so divine when the weather is hot and sticky!

Little Picasso

Harrison's learning how to draw people.  Not too shabby for a 3 year old! He wanted to make sure his person wasn't bald, so that explains the tuft of hair on top of the head.

S'mores and Camp Outs!

What could be more fun than s'mores and camping out in the playroom with Daddy on Father's Day weekend?

Check out that ooey gooey yumminess!

We got this fancy tent for our wedding (5 years ago) and finally broke it out so they could play.

And Harrison is still asleep in the tent (9:10 pm) but Brooks couldn't stop fiddling with every little thing, so he's back in toddler bed prison. :)

New Jammies

I sure do love a good sale at Gap.  I especially love finding cutesy jammies for $3.00 too! Although these jams were bought for this Fall/Winter, the boys were too excited to wait. So even though it's 90 degrees outside and our AC runs constantly, we are sporting long sleeve/long pant jammies!

Big Secret!

We are excited to FINALLY announce that Baby Luds part 3 is on his/her way!  After our 12 week scan today, we felt comfortable enough with the health of this pregnancy to share! Baby looks fantastic! And we anticipate an arrival date around Christmas.

Harrison is beyond excited for his "baby sister".  He says he already has a brother, so now he needs  a sister.  I'm convinced this baby will make the final member to our all boy football team!
We are thrilled!

Our Pippa

Our sweet pup is 4 months old.  She is a good girl, but she does like to chew, jump and occasionally pee on the floor... but hey, that's puppies, right?!

Pippa sporting her new Alabama collar. Roll Tide!

Harrison giving Pip some love.  She loves the boys (and the morsels of food they drop) and the boys will cuddle with her any chance they can get.

Berries Tents and Ice Cream

GiGi came to Georgia and Daddy went to Minneapolis.  And we had a blast!

The boys enjoyed popcorn in their makeshift tent, watching Robots.

Loving homemade ice cream at Lane's!

Strawberry picking with GiGi.  It was nearly 90 that morning, but everyone had fun despite the sweat and gnats!

Digging for the good ones!

Harrison's new favorite thing to do is HOPSCOTCH!

Painting Fun!

The boys love painting! Brooks may have eaten a paintbrush full of blue paint once or twice, but it's all non-toxic! What they love even more is how excited GiGi, Pa and Great Grandma get when they get them in the mail!
