October Days

The weather is starting to cool off a bit here in Georgia and we are sure loving having the windows open.  The boys have been busy with school activities and I've been busy with doctor's appointments!

Look at this little cutie with a headband! He was so proud of himself.

First boo boo at school . He apparently went head first into the rocks at the school playground.

Picnic on the porch

Harrison went with Brian to the Westfield football game and hung out with the CFA cow
Still an Indy fan at heart with his Butler football and Colts jersey

True boys! Digging in the backyard and hauling giant sticks

A Day out with Thomas

We spent a couple hours down in Cordele to visit Thomas today. We went last year, as well.  Brooks was too young and Harrison was sick... needless to say it was a bust.  But this year was much better!

Brooks was so excited this year!

Headed out over Lake Blackshear

Sweet boys in their conductor hats!

Mish Mash

A bunch of mish-mash photos!

Sweet Brooks threw a monster fit that he wasn't included in Harrison's Fall Party at school
A cupcake seemed to resolve that

Harrison and his buddy Deidrick at their Fall Party

I was eating an apple and peanut butter and someone was begging...

Brian started a new shake diet... this is how the boys feel about the blender

Car Wash!

It was a beautiful Saturday here in Georgia today.  The boys helped Brian wash the car.  They both ended up drenched, but hey when it's 80 degrees in October, you can't really be too mad!

Brothers Share a Room!

With the addition of a baby sister in two months, we decided to put the boys in the same room (that way we can still have a guest room) I think the boys like sharing, however it's been an adjustment.  When Harrison gets up to ask for "one more drink of water" he has a mini-me standing next to him asking for the same.  When one kid gets up at 6:45, the other kid is sure to follow.

This will most likely be temporary, as we hope to finish our basement.  The guest suite will then move downstairs and the boys will have their own rooms again.  But for now, this works!

Big boy beds!

Pumpkins!

We love Fall! I love pumpkin candles burning, leaves crunching and the crisp cool air.  But Fall in Georgia is not like Fall in the Midwest, so we have the candles burning but there definitely aren't any leaves crunching or cool air blowing!

The boys were so excited about doing pumpkins this year! That is until we told the boys they needed to scoop out the pumpkin guts!

This is Harrison's first 'scoop' He quickly told Brian he could finish it!

Family shot

Here's our sweet Pippa girl
We adore her (most of the time!)

The boys and their finished pumpkins (thanks to Momma and Daddy who carved these out while the boys ran around like crazy people!)
Harrison's is an Angry Bird and Brooks chose a ghost!

29 weeks

Hello 3rd trimester! Hello ginormous belly!
Baby girl is growing right along (and so are my thighs!) We are hoping to meet her before Christmas Day and will probably schedule the C-section the week of the 16th, with the hopes of having a natural delivery prior to!

Progress

That's me... All 27 weeks and 5 days worth.  That's a big momma.  Here's the update: About 2 weeks ago, I had some extreme swelling (think thigh high) and high blood pressure.  After a few days of bedrest that didn't help with my blood pressure and some increased contractions, my OB thought it was best for me to be done with work and stick to a modified bedrest.

Today I feel mostly OK, but I'm battling headaches and an overall feeling of crumminess. We are taking it day by day.  Tomorrow we get to sneak a peek at our sweet baby girl.  The ultrasound is to ensure that she is still growing and thriving in there.  I'll post a picture!

These Boys

Love these three fellas.

Harrison's Planets

Check out our little Picasso. His interpretation of this doodle:

"this is Saturn (with the rings of course) Mars Earth and Jupiter (pronounced Joopiper). Oh and the other lite squiggles are rocket ships.

Not too shabby, I'd say. Especially because Brian and I looked at each other and asked "did you teach him this?!" Nope wasn't us! I blame Little Einsteins. Those kids are smart!

Georgia Birthday

Harrison's big birthday firetruck party was Sunday.  He had several little friends over to enjoy birthday cake and playtime.  The local fire department was supposed to come to entertain the kids, but unfortunately we got a phone call 10 minutes before the party saying they weren't coming.  So aside from that disappointment, the party was perfect!

Look at these two stud muffins!

Another fab birthday cake!

Happy birthday to you!

Opening gifts with Alden Jacqueline and Alex!

After his party, we gave Harrison his gift from us. We made him close his eyes/
Thought this was hilarious of the boys!

So excited about his new bike
He loved it so much, he had to fake smile!

Indiana!

Whew! What a trip! The boys and I packed up and DROVE to Indianapolis.  A few movies (ahem make that 5 movies) and a ton of junk food got us through.  The boys did great! And our reward for the long drive was seeing our GiGi and Pa and friends!!

We filled everyday with something fun! We are sad that we didn't get to see everyone, but hopefully we can make it back home one last time before baby girl arrives!

The Zoo!
Noah, Griffin, Brooks, Harrison and Grayson (baby Dylan was sleeping!)

Their faces crack me up! These boys are best friends!

Painting with Griffin!!

Mass chaos at Krista's... with a picture to prove it! H&B, Noah & Dylan, Oliver & Vivian (baby Violet was snoozing!)

Pa taught us how to play tackle football!

But he also gave us lots of snuggles!

The boys shared a bed at GiGis! And they did great!

Goodnight sweet boy!

Happy birthday dinner to me!! Love these ladies!

And I cheated... this was before we left! Playing knights with our daddy!
An

Indy Birthday!!

Harrison was a lucky boy who got to celebrate his 4th birthday twice this year! Because his actual birthday happened when we were in Indy, we had cake and ice cream there.  And once we were settled back in Georgia, he had his big birthday bash!

Enjoying his fire truck cake with momma and Brooksey!

Quick pic with GiGi and Pa! Now let's cut this cake!

Rocking his new fireman boots! Thanks GiGi and Pa!

Brooks enjoying a box! Life as a toddler is rough!

"Evacuate! I'm coming to the rescue!"

School Days

The boys are loving school! Brooks gets a little upset on the days where we leave Harrison.  He thinks he should go everyday too.  This was last week before school and you can tell the boys were anxious to go!

Brooks is doing great with his potty training at school.  He has only had one accident, but apparently went and told the teacher he had to potty but was just a little late.  Not too shabby for a 2 1/2 year old.  He continues to improve on his speech and his speech therapist comes once a week to meet with him.  He knows all of his letters and all the letter sounds and he can spell his first name!

When I asked him to say "I'm a big boy!" and he said "I'm a baby" instead which is his new motto.

The Best Feeling

Everyone told us how quickly the boys would grow up. And it's true. Which is why I treasure little moments like this.
